Hi, I’m Dami
I’m an engineer with a passion for crochet, though my journey with the craft started long before Snugknot.
As a Brownie in Girlguiding, I learnt the basics of crochet and how to make a hat. For years, that was the extent of my experience, but it gave me a foundation I would return to a decade later.
When I picked up a hook and yarn again, TikTok and YouTube tutorials helped me find my way. Through patience, practice and a willingness to keep learning, I began making things I’d never imagined I could.
Carrying the craft forward
Snugknot grew from that rediscovered passion and my decision to share it through my own designs.
For me, modern heritage means keeping the hands-on nature of crochet while exploring new shapes, colours and uses. It’s a traditional craft with room to move forward, becoming part of the way we dress and what we carry every day.
Every piece I make reflects that ongoing journey: the skills I’ve developed, the care I put into my work and the satisfaction of turning a strand of yarn into something you can use and wear.
